Flight-day planning

Build a timeline for a multi-stop flight itinerary

Convert itinerary local departure and arrival times across multiple flight legs into UTC, elapsed flight times and scheduled connection intervals.

Add the scheduled legs in itinerary order. Enter each departure and arrival as the local date and time shown for that airport, with its IANA time-zone identifier. The browser converts each event to a UTC instant, estimates elapsed time, and calculates the interval between legs.

Use location identifiers such as Asia/Tokyo, Europe/Paris, America/New_York or Etc/UTC, not abbreviations like “CST”. Airport names or codes are labels only; this tool does not look up airports, flights or scheduled times.

Enter at least two legs and no more than eight. A local clock time skipped by a clock change or repeated twice is rejected rather than guessed. Confirm all times and connections with the operating airline; displayed connection intervals are scheduled elapsed time, not a guarantee that a connection is feasible.

Enter two or more flight legs to begin.

For a single conversion, use the time-zone converter. To compare a same-airport connection with your own target, use the connection-time planner. Use the trip itinerary organizer to collect other transport, lodging and activity details. Read the flight ticket local-times guide before relying on a displayed itinerary.

Time-zone source and limitations

Time-zone rules can change when governments change civil-time policy. This tool uses the rules available through the browser's internationalization implementation; a browser or operating-system update may not yet include a recent change. A local time skipped by a clock change has no matching instant, and a repeated local time is ambiguous, so this tool asks you to correct either case. It does not import or verify airline schedules, airport details, minimum connection times, terminals, delays or ticket protection.

How it works

Enter each leg in itinerary order with its local departure and arrival time and the IANA time zone at each airport. The browser calculates UTC instants, elapsed flight time and intervals between legs. Verify the schedule with the airline.

Good to know

Does this look up or confirm my flight schedule?

No. Enter the times and time zones shown on your itinerary. This tool converts those inputs in your browser and does not fetch airline schedules, airport data, terminals, delays or minimum connection times.

How are flight duration and connection time calculated?

Each local event is converted to one UTC instant using the browser’s available time-zone rules. Flight duration is arrival instant minus departure instant; each connection interval is the next departure instant minus the previous arrival instant. A skipped or repeated local time is rejected instead of guessed.

Does a positive connection interval mean I can make the connection?

No. It is only the scheduled elapsed interval between the entered events. Airport layout, terminal or airport changes, immigration, security, baggage, delays, boarding cutoffs and ticket protection are not checked. Confirm the itinerary and connection requirements with the airline.
