Travel disruption paperwork

Record what happened during a flight delay or cancellation

Make a printable record of flight times, airline notices, rerouting, expenses and supporting evidence after a delay or cancellation. No claim eligibility is decided.

Use this record to preserve facts while they are fresh. Save copies of the original files separately; this page does not upload, save or attach them. Print or use your browser’s “Save as PDF” option when finished.

Evidence to keep with your own records

Keep original documents and unedited copies where possible. Note local dates, times and time zones, and distinguish what you personally observed from what the airline told you. Do not submit passport, payment or other sensitive information unless the official process requires it.

Use the right official process for your route

Passenger rights and complaint routes depend on the route, operating carrier, event and applicable law. This worksheet does not decide which rules apply, whether a claim qualifies, or what amount may be due. Check the current official guidance for the flight and country involved. The European Union’s Your Europe page explains the scope and complaint steps for EU air passenger rights; its page directs passengers to complain to the airline first and then gives options for escalation. The Swedish Consumer Agency’s flight calculator is a separate official tool for passengers checking disruption rights in its stated context.

Save the airline’s response and note the date you submitted any complaint. Check the relevant national authority’s current instructions and deadlines before escalating; processes and time limits can differ.

Official references

Keep receipts for any costs you seek to recover and check the authority’s current instructions. A completed record is not a claim and does not establish legal entitlement.

For fare and baggage-fee details across segments, use the checked-bag cost comparison. Reconstruct a multi-stop schedule with the ticket local-times guide and the time-zone converter.

How it works

Fill in the flight facts, timeline, airline communications, rebooking or refund details, costs and evidence checklist while details are available. Print or save a PDF for your own records, then use the official process that applies to the route.

Good to know

Does this tell me whether I am owed compensation?

No. It records facts and documents only. Applicable rights and outcomes depend on the route, operating airline, event, evidence and current law. Check the responsible official authority or seek qualified advice.

What should I keep after a delay or cancellation?

Keep your booking and boarding records, airline notices, rebooking or refund documents, dated screenshots, written explanations, complaint correspondence and receipts for expenses. Follow the current official process for the route.

Does the form save or send my information?

No. The page does not upload or save form entries. They stay in the open browser page until you clear it or leave. Printing or saving a PDF creates a copy on your device through the browser.
