Check eSIM compatibility for your phone model
Check the official model, carrier-unlock and region guidance for an iPhone or Google Pixel before choosing a travel eSIM. No device data is sent.
Use this checklist before buying a travel eSIM. It uses the phone family, exact model, purchase region and plan type you enter to show the official checks that apply. It cannot inspect your device or guarantee activation.
Enter your exact model and choose “Show my checks.”
The exact model, sales region, carrier lock, destination radio bands, carrier support and plan activation rules can all matter. This checklist does not collect or transmit your entries.
Before you buy
- Confirm the exact model in the manufacturer's settings or model lookup; a product-family name alone may not identify regional hardware.
- Ask the current carrier to confirm the phone is unlocked if you will use a different carrier or travel provider.
- Check that the plan supports your device and destination, then verify coverage, activation location, validity and refund terms with the provider.
After compatibility checks, estimate your trip data with the eSIM data calculator. If setup or network service fails, follow the eSIM troubleshooting checklist. The mainland China guide and Japan guide cover destination-specific plan checks.

How it works
Choose your phone family, enter its exact model, and select where you bought it and how you plan to connect. Use the linked manufacturer guidance to verify the result for your device and carrier.
Good to know
Does this checker confirm my phone will work?
No. It organizes the manufacturer checks relevant to the choices you enter. It cannot inspect your phone, confirm carrier unlock status, verify cellular bands, or guarantee that a specific travel eSIM will activate.
Why does purchase region matter?
Some phone models and carrier eSIM rules vary by sales region. Apple also documents separate rules for eSIMs from mainland China carriers and travel eSIMs from worldwide providers. Check the exact model and plan type against the official links below.
